Carlisle Varsity Softball Team 4th Straight SWBL Buckeye Champs
The 2024 Carlisle Varsity Softball team won their 4th straight SWBL Buckeye championship last week. Currently, the team is 22-3, 11-0 in the SWBL and ranked #6 in the Division III Coaches Poll. They have won 41 straight league games and will enter tournament play on Wednesday seeking their 4th straight district title. They are led by a group of eight seniors...Kara Adkins (OF/P), Ashley Allen (OF/CF), Elise Banks (1B/P), Kirsten Bottles (OF), Karrigan Bowman (C), Savannah Brown (P/OF), Alaina Eldridge (3B), and Layla Knapp (2B). Adkins has committed to play at Cedarville University, Allen has committed to play at Cuyahoga Community College, and Eldridge has committed to play at the University of Findlay.
The underclassmen on the team are juniors Logan Bruns, Emma Laughlin, Allie Smith, and Montana Wallace, sophomore Mya Howard, and freshmen Ally Barnes and Grace Holt.
The Indians' head coach is Don Ridinger, and his assistants are Josh Laughlin and Brooke Adams.
