Camp Joy
We are very excited at Carlisle Intermediate School to bring back the opportunity for 6th graders to attend Camp Joy this Spring. Students and counselors left for camp Wednesday, March 29th. This year we have Kevin Baker and Melissa Fisher as our head camp coordinators. They have been working on this project since the beginning of the school year. We have over 80 sixth graders attending the three-day camp. Students will be chaperoned by staff members and a few high school students. The teachers have helped to pick several educational sessions that the students attend during the camp. The students also have several outdoor activities including hiking. We hope to have this opportunity every year for 6th grade students in the future. We had to stop the camp experience the last two school years due to Covid. So, now the “Joy” is back, and we hope to continue it for generations to come.
